We referred to Peanut (lt.) and Cocoa (rt.) as our lovely liver ladies and the similarity didn't stop there. We adopted Peanut because she was fearful from a previous life of abuse and we were buddies for quite a while before Cocoa came along to live with us as a foster. She had bounced back from two prior adoptions and seems to have had some rough times herself before she arrived at our door. So, both Peanut and Cocoa had a difficult past. They became best friends though through the last months of their lives. Both were totally blind and wore diapers for incontinence. They usually squeezed into a bed intended for only one! They are sleeping happily together now at the Bridge.
