Meet Lady Girl, a sweet senior currently in long term/hospice in South Carolina.
This sweet girl came to NBRAN in May of 2020 after being found as a stray in Honea Path, SC. When she first arrived the Good Samaritan had named her Honey, after seeing nearly hit by a car. She was not micro chipped and no one stepped up to claim her, so NBRAN was happy to take her and help her live life to the fullest.
Her foster Mom, soon realized she didn’t’ response to Honey very well but would answer to Lady, so she has been Lady Girl ever since. Lady is estimated to be between 10-12 years old and like many older Brits has a number of health issues.
Lady is heartworm positive, mostly blind and deaf, as well as has congestive heart failure along with inconsistence issues and a persistent cough. She has been placed on the slow kill treatment for heart worm disease and also takes medications for her heart and other ailments.
However in spite of all this health issues Lady is one Happy girl! She enjoys digging up her fosters mulched yard, lay outside and enjoying life’s view, barking for her meals, and loves her 2 doggies brothers also.
Lady’s ongoing expenses include: proin, enalapril and heartworm TX medications, as well as blood work and vet care.
